A 7-Week Journey Through Hebrews Hosted by Oil with Alexis We live in a culture that often treats the Bible as a self-help book and Jesus as a life coach—someone to help us achieve our goals, improve our relationships, or become the best version of ourselves. But Hebrews presents a very different picture. It reveals Jesus as the exalted Son of God, the perfect High Priest, and the One worthy of our complete trust, worship, obedience, and endurance. It reminds us that biblical faith isn’t measured by how much God improves our circumstances, but by whether we remain faithful to Christ through every season. This isn’t a study about using faith to get what we want—it’s about knowing the One our faith is in. Over the course of seven weeks, we’ll use the book of Hebrews as our anchor text while exploring the whole counsel of Scripture to understand what biblical faith truly is. Together, we’ll examine supporting passages throughout the Bible, allowing Scripture to interpret Scripture as we wrestle with questions like: * What is biblical faith? * Who is the object of our faith? * What does genuine, biblical faith look like, and how can I examine my own faith in light of Scripture? * What does it mean to endure in faith? * What does it look like to follow Jesus in 2026? * Is my faith rooted in Christ, or in what I hope He will do for me? This instructor-led program is designed to move beyond surface-level Bible study. Together, we’ll carefully study Hebrews, engage the rest of Scripture, wrestle with challenging questions, and allow God’s Word to confront our assumptions about faith, discipleship, perseverance, and the person of Jesus Christ. Throughout the program, you’ll receive guided teaching, study materials, reflection prompts, and additional resources to help you engage with Scripture between sessions. We’ll also gather throughout the journey for discussion, reflection, and prayer as we encourage one another to grow in Christ and grow in a faith that endures
